Happy New Year!
Greetings and Happy New Year!
Between the holidays and ridiculous cold of late, I've being laying low.
Between the holidays and ridiculous cold of late, I've being laying low.
With the new year comes resolutions. Every day is a new day and a great day for resolutions, so don't wait for the new year to set goals.
Did I set some goals for this year? For sure. Some are bigger, and more long term than others but the important part is putting them on paper and putting them out into the universe. Speaking them into existence. As someone who tends to keep a lot inside and very private that's a big step...
My goals for the coming year...
- Grow my emergency fund. I'm a bit of a personal finance geek, I'm enjoiy reading personal finance blogs and looking for ways to save to reach my ultimate goal of financial Independence retire early (FIRE for short).
- I want to be a vendor in at least one local craft show this year. I'm a crafter/artistic type. I love crocheting, and I'm currently teaching myself to sew. I would love to sell some of my work at a craft fair for the experience. If you're curious about my crafting endeavors, head over to www.asiobhan.com
- One more crafting related goal, I want to open an Etsy store. On a side note, I love crafting because it's a great way for me to manage my anxiety. Working on a project calms me and helps me focus.
- Attack my "To be read" pile. It's gotten pretty big. I want to read one non fiction book a month. Working through my fiction reading list is never a problem, the nonfiction one, I admit it takes a bit longer. For my nonfiction, I'm currently reading Reza Aslan's God: A Human History. Great read so far, it is easy to get lost in the foot notes, which is probably why it's taking me so long to read it! For my fiction I'm revisiting an old favorite, The Elenium Trilogy by David Eddings. So many books not enough time!
- Be dope. Trust, love and believe in my capabilities!
What are your goals?
